Vintage Dress-Fake Fur Stole Portobello Market-Shoes Office
I bought this vintage dress a while back, and although it was not in the best of conditions, i loved it anyways. I could have diyed it the way i know how, but i decided to leave it with its imperfections. I added the fake fur stole ( given to me by a fellow trader at Portobello) for a little glamour.
J’ai acheté cette robe il ya un bout de temps et bien qu’elle n’était pas en bon état, elle m’a plu. J’aurais pu la rafistoler comme j’en ai souvent l’habitude mais j’ai préféré la laisser avec ses imperfections. J’ai rajouté le col en fourrure pour un petit brin de glamour.

Say what you want about Primark, but where else can you find such a beautiful dress for a mere £5? It was actually £11 but got reduced. So the bargain hunter that i am, went crazy in the shop and bought more items than intended.
The jumper is a very old H&M. The grey color matches really well with the pink so i couldn’t resist putting it on.
On peut dire se qu’on veut sur Primark, mais quel autre magasin offre une aussi jolie robe à £5? Elle était en fait à £11 puis soldée, ce qui a fait mon bonheur puisque j’ai fait quelques petites folies dans le magasin.
Le petit pull est un vieux H&M. Je trouve que sont gris va bien avec le rose de la robe.

I bought both skirt and bag at Portobello. But the thing with vintage market is that you can never go back for an exchange or refund. Although i was fine with the bag, i was not too sure about the skirt.
So, after days asking myself what i was going to do with it, and dreaming about how to possibly pull off Louis Vuitton’s and other Mad Men ladies looks ( as they are doing the full skirt below the knees trend with such perfection), i settled for this . And these Primark heels ( i removed the bows at the last minute)are perfect, aren’t they?
J’ai acheté la jupe et le sac au marché de Portobello et bien que le sac me convenait bien, je n’était pas très sûre de la jupe. Donc, après avoir épluché des archives de Louis Vuitton et de Mad Men, j’ai opté pour ce look. Et, ces talons de chez Primark sont parfaits, non?

If i had my way, this is how i will dress to go buy my flowers on Sunday mornings. I love the pastel colors of both the bloomers and the shoes…i just love the all look.

Now, a little how to.
I was contacted by Judith few days ago, and she wanted to know how i made the bows inspired by Louis Vuitton’s bow shoes.
Thanks Judith for giving me the idea for this post.
This is what you need: ribbon, thread ( or sellotape, glue gun or anything that can stick), and needle.
The ribbon has to be cut into four pieces.
Two long pieces ( 22cm each) and two small pieces ( 9cm each).
Sew both edges of the long pieces of ribbon together.
Place the small pieces of ribbon over the long ones and sew both edges together.
This is what you should have.
Ps: If you want your DIY to be believable, go for a ribbon whose color will totally clash with the color of the shoes.
